Dear All

Thank you to all those who came to the Fox gig and I am sorry about the gig in Aspen having to be cancelled. Thank you as well to Christian Teale who did a great job of stepping in to Jim's awesome "over-boots" at the last minute and being so diligent in his learning. I do hope Jim is doing better now and look forward to playing with him again.

I enjoyed the show a lot, and felt strangely focused which is unlike me! If I hadn't done some bar singing in the last few months I think I would have been more nervous so it was worth keeping my hand in. It was great to see the two Marks and Luke (it must have been the longest amount of time without he and I seeing each other for years), and as expected one falls straight back in to the same routines.

Ah Colorado, where else in the world do our songs seem to communicate in the same way?

It was really nice to see so many fans at the gig and the signing at Albums on the Hill. We have left some albums with Andy if anyone is looking for new or old stuff. I am going to send him some more stock soon. Thanks as well to Ginger at KBCO for inviting us to Studio C.

Back to Reality...or life in the out islands of the Bahamas, on Sunday night I joined in with a Rake and Scrape evening, which is 'ole time' Bahamian music using saws and string bass and congas. Very enjoyable, and courtesy of my friend Dwight I can now look forward to regular nights at the Seagrapes Club, the band here, the Brilanders, were much more intelligent than us, they own the club themselves .A Nashville artist called Billy Dean arrived at the end and did three songs, the last of which, a country ballad, all the locals knew every word to. Odd! There is a radio station in Spanish Wells that plays country music and I keep meaning to go over there a drop off a copy of the album to see what they make of it. In fact I have been too scared to premiere Ten Ten, as I think it is an Obeah phrase and am not sure how well it would go down. Maybe next week at the Rake and Scrape I'll try, so wish me luck!

I've just discovered they sell Marmite at the Sugar Mill on Bay Street, I am noodling with Logic at the Landing, my friends are in Jamaica doing a photo shoot at Goldeneye, the bay is choppy but blue beyond belief and it is starting to feel like we are actually in the Bahamas!

Good old Kalik!

Best Wishes,
