Marcus Cliffe has played bass for Rod Stewart, Heather Nova, Mark Knopfler and Paul Young amongst others. He has also produced two albums: one for the English blues guitarist Dave Kelly and the other for Tom McGuiness (formerly Manfred Mann).

I started playing piano when I was about 8 or 9 and went through the whole royal school of music classical syllabus. When I went to school I saw my first 'electric' guitar which happened to be a short scale bass but I wanted to play it so I started taking bass lessons which included the double bass as well. I went through the whole school bands thing and then on to music college where I studied jazz.

I had my biggest chart succes in 1992 with Tasmin Archer and the song 'Sleeping Satelite' which was number one around the world that year but I have been the bassist of Tin Tin Out for about 3 years now. They are principally a production team but have had quite a few top 20 hits over the last few years with various singers..The remix work has been really interesting and I have had the oportunity to play on mixes for Sting, Des'ree, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey and Faith Hill.

I am currently playing and producing the next Miracle Mile album which I have also co-written.
